I encountered a butterfly in the north field today which kissed me, turning me into a butterfly as well. This had happened to me before, shortly before Bawkmas, so I was not alarmed. People in town kept asking me about my costume, though. You'd think they never saw a butterfly before.

I joined a hunt on Devil's Island led by Kiriel D'Sol late in the day. I encountered strange creatures named Volcoons, who are clearly intelligent and have some sort of civilization. The were on the other side of an impassable wall, so I couldn't tell much about them, but I found myself wondering if they might be responsible for some of the unusual ruins I've encountered on Puddleby Island.
