"It would indeed be great to have powerful allies but wishful thinking won't turn the Brions, who have shown hostility to us before, into our best buddies who will fight along side us as we defend Puddleby."
I try to be optimistic in this, but I certainly have no illusions concerning the 'Brions. I understand that the 'Brions are powerful and dangerous, and that they could be formidable foes to Puddleby. I repeat though, need the 'Brions necessary be our foes? Why can't they be our allies?
You claim that the 'Brions have shown hostility to Puddleby before. However, have not these hostilities always been in response to the aggressive action by exiles? It is we who daily go into the Keeps of the 'Brions, destroy their structures, murder their guards, and slaughter their beasts, for our own selfish reasons. Considering this, the 'Brions have been pretty damn lenient.
