"Invaders? I haven't heard the Brions telling us to stay out or if they told us, I certainly don't remember them telling us recently. "
Then you haven't been paying much attention lately, have you? The 'Brions have always been telling exiles to stay out of their keeps. The walls that the 'Brions are constructing around their keeps are *not* welcome mats.
"Well, that doesn't necessarily mean the Brions created them from raw materials. It could mean they got the beasts from their natural habitat and simply bred them."
Whether the 'Brions created the creatures or not is immaterial. The fact is that the creatures reside within the keeps because the 'Brions *want* them inside, and exiles have no right to slaughter them.
"In that case the creatures would be of their own creation in a way so why they are just left to roam around their keep is beyond my understanding..."
...and not your concern.
"If the Brions wanted to keep their creations safe and unharmed, maybe they should be kept in pens or zoo-like areas. As it is now, you have Mud Goems walking on fine carpets in Melabrion's Keep while the Undine make a mess of Tenebrion's Keep."
Where I come from, it is safe to leave our doors unlocked without having to worry about people coming in destroying all our belongings. Where I come from, pets do not need to be locked up in cages or kept in pens to be kept safe from their neighboors. I'd like to think that people enjoy similar protections here in Puddleby, but I guess not, with people like you running around.
