Darshak

The history of the Darshak Theocracy was summarized by Hulapop the Thoom in the introductory guide many exiles receive when they arrive in Puddleby. Bear in mind that Hulapop was writing in 518, and the exiles have learned more in the intervening years.

We now know that there is definitely a Darshak outpost located on Ash Island. What's more, Puddleby is periodically attacked by Darshak soldiers much stronger than those found in the outpost. This suggests that troops are being sent here from the Darshak's main territory--probably the Isles of Gathner far to the south, where the Darshak were sent at the beginning of the Ascendancy.

Given that over 500 years passed between the exile of the Darshak and the arrival of the first exiles in Puddleby, I suspect the Darshak presence in the Lok'Grotons is nothing new. I am looking for information on what brought them here, and signs of their presence outside of the well-known outpost on Ash.

Some Darshak ships have been spotted at the docks on Ash Island. I recently went on a reconnaisance mission and recorded my observations Jeanne has suggested that the Darshak may capture some of the exiles bound for Puddleby to use as slaves. This would explain why they keep ships at the ready. Additionally, there has been at least one incident where exiles attempting to explore the ocean were killed by the Darshak.

The Darshak launched a massive invasion on the 10th through the 12th of Spring, 549. During the invasion we learned some interesting new things about them.
