The Bane of the Black Heart clan hunt held today went rather well. Indigo was able to join Drenn and myself, after a long absence. We decided to explore Gungla Island, with Tas joining us as healer and tour guide. Our first destination was the famous Rainbow Falls, a place I'd heard of but never seen.

We then headed into a marshy area where we encountered a creature which we learned was a baby plesio'don. It was incredibly tough, taking out Indigo and wounding Tas and Drenn severely without suffering so much as a scratch in return. We withdrew to the beach where Harper joined us to help raise Indigo, then returned for another attempt. The second attempt went much like the first, with me falling in place of Indigo, so we abandoned the effort.

On the way back from the beach we encountered two of these creatures, called seta lizards. They were quite slippery, but we managed to kill both of them. They seemed to be roughly comparable to a feral in difficulty.

Today I did a bit of hunting in South Forest with Harper, who is raising fund for chain repairs. As we were about to leave Kitty Beach, she was called to a rescue in the Vermine Tree. We headed that way, and with the help of Ootog and Cyan were able to easily rescue Garion Fighter. Garion is studying to be a master skinner, and the vermine tree is certainly a good place to get practice!

Drenn and I went to Midpass for today's Bane of the Black Heart clan hunt. We were joined by Harper and her niece, a brand new exile named Moonlight. The hunt went fairly well at first, with Moonlight successfully tagging a number of dangerous wendeckas and bloodhawks. We did see a very unusual sight, shown in the accompanying sketch.

Unfortunately things went bad when Drenn sent me ahead to lure more wendeckas back to the well. I was struck by two rocks, and several healers who came to the pass were unable to raise me. In the end Snow had to drag me back to town.
