Devil's Island Campfire

This site is located on the east beach of Devil's Island. Although there is some partially buried trash in the vicinity, such as the wheel, the fire itself is maintained by someone--otherwise it would be at least partially buried by sand. There are generally Darshak in the vicinity, and I believe this may be a Darshak campsite.

My original theory was that the Darshak use this place as a staging area for their invasions, and possibly their scouting missions, to Puddleby. The location is ideal for this, as the beach is the closest point of land to Puddleby that is not actually on Puddleby Island. It would be a perfect staging area for Darshak forces to prepare after travelling from Ash Island.

The partially-buried wheel suggests that someone has been using carts to move something around the beach. An invasion force would need significant logistical support, and that means carts to move food and other supplies. Possibly the Darshak have been using carts near this campfire to move supplies.

I've never seen the fire lit, even when there are Darshak in the area. This suggests that it may be intended not as a cooking fire, but as a signal fire. Perhaps it is only lit when an invasion or scouting mission is underway and the area is being used as a staging area?

I was eventually able to visit the campfire at a time when an invasion was known to be imminent, and this proved my theory wrong. There was no unusual activity there (only one Darshak Thug) and the fire was not lit. It seems I will need to come up wiith a new theory about this location and the Darshak presence.
