East Forest Well

This well is located in the East Forest, just west of Midpass. There are no other structures in the immediate vicinity. The design of the well is very similar to the wells in the Passes, although this one lacks a roof and has a pile of rocks next to it. Like the other wells, this well appears to be maintained by someone.

As the sign suggests, this well is rather deep, and a fall down it will have rather painful consequences. It is possible to reach the bottom in a less abrupt way, though. There is a hidden path in some trees in the next snell north leading to a ladder down into a tunnel that leads south. After a short walk, the tunnel opens into the bottom of the well.

As the sketch shows, the bottom of the well is rather dry. This raises the question, why bother to maintain a well that hasn't got any water in it? The closest dwelling is that of Cavra Treelife, the Sylvan who sells quarterstaves, so perhaps this is her well. Regretably, she is not particularly forthcoming on the subject.
