Last night I went to the Faculty of Engineering Gala Dinner. It's an event organised by students where companies sponsor a table and students get to pimp themselves for summer/graduate jobs. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening as well as being useful for developing links with industry. There was only one company, Motorola, who were really interested in my degree course but a few others like Polaroid who didn't know much about it sounded interested.
