The Palousites met at Friendship Sq last night under ever darkening skies. Pam and SooJun were expected but failed to show, Dave Henry was late. Frank and I (Wendy) set off toward the blackness, me announcing that at first sign of lightning I was out of there. We made it one block and spotted Dave (in truck) behind us. He requested 2 minutes to get ready and told us how bad the sky looked from afar (like it looked good from near!!). Well, the big fat rain drops started within the next 5 seconds, we bailed at that point. Heading back toward Pullman in the truck it looked quite promising but within the first 5 minutes of being in Tri State (looking for new running shoes!) I could hear the rain slamming on the roof and hear the rumble of thunder. Good call! Did Sean make it back without a soaking? Dave spotted him heading home around 6pm, maybe he was OK the storm as never really made it to Albion last night but hung around on the state line. Next week we will try to ride on the sunny side of the border!!!

And it was a beautiful night in the valley. I left home about 4:10 for a 40
