Helen pulled in saying "Oh, good. I thought I'd be by myself."

I had been by myself on Saturday. The rain kept me in my easy chair until noon. Then I thought I'd risk the Lewiston Loop. However, at MacIntosh my Lemond turned right instead of left. It might have been the downhill but I think it was the tail wind that pushed me all the way to Arrow Bridge. It wasn't bad on the return either except for the stretch back from the Casino.

But Sunday was colder I thought. And getting colder. I'd eaten at Taco John's and now I was regretting the super nachos and crossing my arms for warmth.

Tony got a cross bike to see if he like cycling and to begin getting some exercise. He had promised to come but I hadn't seen him yet. John and Ellen made a loop around the bridges, Scott and Debbie showed up, and Mike and Nicky arrived to give Nicky an easy ride on her new knee.

We thought to go toward Steptoe but west winds changed our minds. We headed toward Asotin Creek but the winds seemed to find us. The good news, though, was the sun had begun to shine a bit and I shed the arm and leg warmers.

Linda and Camille ran the Coeur d'Alene half marathon Sunday morning in all sorts of weather but had sunshine to finish.
