Corrie,
This was one of your best blogs ever. I've been laughing so hard, I have tears running down my face. Every word is true, and yes Sean did get to have some of that blueberry peach pie and Mike got the pecan bourbon sans only one pecan. Everyone... there were more stories. This ride will need a re-run.
We might want to do it backwards in case we have to take that dog home.
This happened one year on one of our gravel road rides. We picked up a dog and didn't lose it until we descended into Culdesac. There was a house at the top of the hill. Two weeks later when we did the ride backwards there was that dog. Some people came out of the house and asked us if it was ours as some bicyclists had left it there two weeks ago. We assured them the dog wasn't ours but we knew where it lived. We left the dog run along with us until we reached the house we'd found it. It seemed to recognize the place and happily stopped there. Have we done that ride since?
