Day 5 Layover in Stanley Day 5 Gallery

Lots of things to do. A blue grass band played for 2 hours in camp the first night and another group is scheduled for tonight. Someone arranged for plane rides, a raft trip, hikes, and swimming at Red Fish lake were some of the choices. Yes, you could ride to Banner Summit, a 50 mile round trip and 900 feet of elevation gain, if you hadn’t had enough. My legs and I discussed it. With Galena pass and 75 miles for tomorrow,

we chose an easy day with a short hike and reading in an easy chair at Red Fish Lodge.

Linda rented a kayak and paddled about the shallows of Red Fish Lake.

I was not the only reader. It seems that cyclists are also readers. Everyone seemed to have a book. Some had several. Discussions often took off spontaneously and Roberta and Linda exchanged books for a time.
