Cycle Oregons food is always great. This year the lines were short to nonexistent! What happened? Cycle Oregon spent three full days in the backyard of Portland, and the Portland riders didnt want to pay to ride in their own back yard, so I was able to register in August, and my riding buddy Sam actually registered in September! There were only 1,500 riders instead of the usual 2,000 when the ride began. With no lines and no pressure to leave the dining area to make ones seat available for someone else, it made Cycle Oregon more leisurely than usual.
