Don't miss Mike Riddle's pictures. Sorry I got them up so late. Not his fault--mine. Look for them at the bottom of the blog.

Lance adds these notes to the Joseph Ride

Hi Corrie, Just a few observations from our ride that you might want to include in the Joseph ride.

We had 7 riders that rode the Joseph ride for the first time. That made up almost half of the riders this year. The riders were Helen (who completed her first century ever!), Sheri, Tamara, Jim, and Emma, Mark, and Brian from the Seattle area. We had great sag support from Janet, Jim, Carla, and Carol and Sean . Many thanks goes to these folks because this year we really needed sag support due to the weather. Another record of sorts was set this year. Janet packed six bikes and seven bodies into the truck when the riders were wet and frozen. The drivers really appreciated the gas money donations form the many riders. It sure helped with the high price of gas. Thank you riders. The club president, Lance, was very glad to be proven wrong. He had wanted to cancel the ride due to rain Saturday morning and even called the riders that were going. Well, the riders rebelled and said no way. So through wind, rain, and cold they forged ahead on Saturday. Sunday dawned bright and beauful and it was a great day for riding. The food was great and plentiful. One thing you can say about Joseph, OR, you sure aren't going to starve. All in all, it was a fun experience and made you realize why we have a bike club. LANCE
