Helen checks in from Turkey. Seems her typing has taken on a bit of eastern European accent, too.

    Riding my easy chair

(by Corrie Rosetti, @ 5:07 PM)

105 degrees showed on my thermometer last I looked. And I, I stayed safely indoors riding my Lazy-Boy.

Cliff and I were joined by Jake this morning at 6 at Cliff's in the Orchards. We thought to ride over Cottonwood Creek from CuldeSac but thought again about the hour and the 10 degrees that would add to the day.

We settled for the Lapwai Loop finishing, however, by climbing Tammany and Barre Road. Ride enough for this triple digit day.

John chose not to join us having ridden 93 miles from Grangeville across backroads including the infamous Lawyers Canyon on Friday. Better valor to rest today and ride tomorrow.

Linda has gone to St. Maries with Tony where in the morning they plan to launch an assault on the Trail of the Hiawatha before the heat drives them back.

Tamara may join them though last I heard she was having trouble with mt. wheels on her road frame. Ben, what were you thinking? Perhaps Mike and Sean can solve the problem or at least find her a bike.

And then Chandler, Chandler who promises to be seen on a bike and yet never is, checks in with this needling video. You'll need Flash Player to view it, but its worth it.

So You Think You Can Ride

Likely ride to Buffalo Eddie with John and Carla, Mike and Nicky, Corrie and Cliff starting early in the morning. Time (likely 6 or 6:30) and starting point to be decided tonight. Call my cell at 509 254-1099 for more information if you are interested.
