Moved to new location (Himitsu Chi - 11:26:58 AM) ->
I moved to a new location. The site is still under construction and I am deciding what Eyes of Puddleby is going to do so if you have any ideas, please send me an email.

November 30, 2005 v418 - Save the Grog!

Delta Tao

  • No crashes or deadlocks to report in 41 days.
  • Are you going to let Rotbeard get away with his vainglorious boasts?
  • Want to keep others away in the badlands? Skipping deodorant might not work, but perhaps something else will.
  • The ethercles have been asked not to litter.
  • You'll have to explore to discover any other changes. Enjoy.

Eyes of Puddleby

  • Rockodile breastplate armor has now a grey color and the recipe to make it has been changed to a piece of iron, a copper ingot, and a Rockodile leather.

November 16, 2005 v416 - Rhyme and Reason

Delta Tao

  • A turning page, a filling cup: Days twenty-seven we've been up.
  • Fighter knocks, armor rocs.
  • Shroom doom abloom.
  • Circle five stays alive with work they bring to sylphstone ring.
  • What else has changed? A few things more. To find them all, go forth! Explore!

  • Rockodiles now drop Rockodile Leather which can be turned into a Rocodile Breastplate with 2 pieces of iron and a Rockodile leather. What advantages it gives or whether it needs to be repaired is unknown at this time. I would have liked it to have used copper instead of iron since I have a lot more copper than iron.
  • The Meshra Lair is a lot bigger than what I remember with some new caves. I was told it was expanded about two Chaos Storms ago so it’s worth a visit if you haven’t been there in a while.

   414 (Himitsu Chi - 4:39:58 PM) ->
November 2, 2005 v414 - Thin Ice

Delta Tao

  • We crashed twice on October 20. First time in 38 days. The record is 708 days. (Can you tell we've been working on the server?) Some gerbils forgot which wheel they were supposed to be running on.
  • Has OS 10.4.3 fixed the automatic download problems for dial-up users?
  • There's an anouncement thread on the Sentinel that often lists more detailed news than this one, or at least describes it differently.
  • You can now acquire a ticket while in a waiting room and be put aboard the next ship. You no longer need to have the ticket in hand when you enter the room.
  • The ship waiting rooms now give experience like free libraries.
  • Explorers can now take certain pieces of the sea home with them.
  • Eldon is getting awfully smug about undiscovered areas on GI. Are you going to let him get away with that?
  • You'll have to explore to discover any other changes. Enjoy.

Eldon

  • Puddleby's alchemists expect to make an announcement soon on a certain potion.
  • Explorers can now take certain pieces of the sea home with them.
  • And, no Zynx, I haven't done anything with the Rockodile armor. I've been busy. Taken a boat ride lately?
  • The ship waiting rooms should be free libraries now.
  • I taunt you a second time that there are still undiscovered areas on GI.
  • NPCs now clearly state that a ticket is one-way. Buy two tickets if this is an issue for you.
  • And, finally, while catapulting a Chicken is intriguing, I'm not that GM. Sorry.

Ann

  • Assorted fixes to the ships over the last two weeks culminate in the latest batch, which let you enter a waiting room without a ticket, acquire one while inside, and be put on the next boat just the same as if you'd had the ticket when you went in. (The ships were written back before /buy existed, much less /drop. Who says we don't plan ahead?)
  • Mystic GM has been working hard on lots of changes and additions, but he won't tell me what they are. Says they're all secret. Pah!
  • There's, um, something interesting to be found. Much more would be a spoiler. You'll like it, you'll hate it. So what else is new?

Eyes of Puddleby

  • None so far.

   412 (Himitsu Chi - 4:27:15 PM) ->
October 20, 2005 v412

Delta Tao

  • No crashes or deadlocks in 37 days and counting.
  • We've tracked down the auto-update failures some people have been experiencing to a bug in OSX 10.4. Until it is fixed, auto-updates may continue to fail for some Tiger users, especially on slower connections. However, if your download does succeed it should unpack and update properly now.
  • /drop no longer unequips what you dropped unless it was the only one you had.
  • Jayne Dougal and the Nimbletoes siblings have been fixed.
  • Judder and tremolite are now somewhat more common, at least for a while, although they're undoubtedly not as exciting as all the hype has led people to believe.
  • Some significant changes have been made to Rangers. See the Sentinel for details.
  • Dramamine sold separately.
  • You'll have to explore to discover any other changes. Enjoy.
  • No Shieldstone tweaks were made this update. And, other than excluding some creatures, no change was ever made in how creatures were pushed.
  • Gungla Island still isn't fully explored. Yes, I'm taunting you.
  • Dramamine sold separately.
  • And, yes, there ARE new rugs this update. That's sort of funny, actually. Okay, not really.
  • Some other minor changes, mainly for making things easier for GMs. If it breaks anything, it's Pengy's fault.

Eyes of Puddleby

  • A memorial for the departed Tyndall has been placed in the Memorial Garden. May his spirit find peace and joy.
  • Apparently people can visit Peaceton by heading to the docks this Friday with 100 coins. I don’t know if you need one of the tickets that people have had or if you’ll be able to buy a ticket on Friday. The trip will take a day and no word on how you return to Puddleby.
