Clothes

This is a list of all of the available clothes, where they are found, and how much they cost.

  • Albino Maha Fur cloak/pants (varies)
This is made by killing an Albino Maha, which is found on Kizmia's Island, and picking up the pelt that randomly appears afterwards. There are two people on Kizmia's Island who will exchange the pelt for clothes. They are found in Umbrion's Castle and charge 500c for this service. You can make the cloak into a shirt for 100c by going to the Tailor's Hut in Puddleby.
  • Navy Blue shirt (50c)
Sold in the Hollow Tree in the Meadow in Tanglewood.
  • Navy Blue pants (60c)
Sold in the Campfire in the East Forest. An easy way of getting there is to go to the North East Field and go east three times from the southern part of the snell.
  • Brown pants (10c)
Sold in the small campfire area between the North Field and the Highlands. You have to go to the northwest corner of the North Field and you'll find an exit that leads to the campfire area.
  • Dark Grey shirt (100c)
Sold in a hollow tree in the Old Cemetary which is accessible through the Marsh.
  • Dark Grey pants (75c)
Sold in the well under the desert which is accessible through the Undine Cave under the Farmer's Hut in the northern East Fields. The Undine Cave is pitch black and often filled with undine in addition to the area under the well so it's a good idea to bring along help if you aren't able to kill Undine on your own. The exit is by the Drake statue in the South Forest.
  • Gold shirt (9000c)
Sold in the South Forest hospital which is west of the Mirror snell in the South Forest.
  • Gold pants (9000c)
Sold in the South Forest hospital which is west of the Mirror snell in the South Forest.
  • Grassy Green shirt (100c)
Sold in the small alcove between the North Farms and the Northwest Beach. The entrance is the rocky wall on the west part of the North Farms and looking for a dirt path.
  • Forest Green pants (150c)
There are two places where you can buy Forest Green pants. One is in a hut in the East Forest and an easy way of getting there is to go to the North East Field and go east two times and then north one time from the northern part of the snell. The other location is found in an area just off the Orga Camp in the northwestern part.
  • Icy Blue shirt (varies)
You won this shirt in the travelling carnival that was in Puddleby about 4 years ago. It's not known whether it'll be possible to get this shirt again so these are very rare and valuable.
  • Muddy Yellow shirt (100c)
Sold in the Marsh in a campfire area in a grove of trees.
  • Muddy Yellow pants (80c)
Sold in the Marsh in a campfire area in a grove of trees.
  • Newbie Orange shirt (varies)
From what I can gather, when exiles came back to Puddleby after the Ripture war their clothes faded to the Newbie Orange color rather than the Tan color. When clothes became items, the Newbie Orange shirt was created and so are very rare and very expensive if you can even find a seller.

Clothes Dyes

To dye your clothes, you must have the desired berry, enough money in your purse, and then go to the Tailor's Hut in the northwestern part of the center of town. There you go to the correct person, tell them whether you want your shirt or pants worked on, you're shown what it will look like, and then asked if you want to go through the process. If you say yes, your item of clothing is dyed or bleached immediately.

If you don't have the correct berry you can go to a small room on the east part of the main room and you can try bleaching/dying combinations as long as you have the base item of clothing to start out with. For example, you can't see what dying a Gold shirt with Orgaberries will look like unless you have a Gold shirt. You can also see what your shirt will look like as a cloak and test dyes and bleaches on it. There's a limit to what you can dye and bleach and you will be told if you reach it.

  • Types of Berries
There are three berries and hence three possible bleaches/dyes: Brambleberries (yellow), Lilaberries (turquoise), and Orgaberries (purple).
Brambleberries are found nearly everywhere and so you can usually find them on your own or buy them for a very small amount if not for free.
Lilaberries are much rarer and have been found in the Marsh and in the South Forest along the marsh's edge. They sell from 1500c - 2000c.
Orgaberries are also rare and are found in the Orga Camp as well as in Snagglewood and in many of the areas beyond Wisher's Gate. They sell from 1500c - 2000c.
  • Cost of Bleaches & Dyes
Brambleberries cost 50c to bleach and 500c to dye.
Lilaberries cost 25c to bleach and 100c to dye.
Orgaberries cost 100c to bleach and 1000c to dye.
  • Color Combinations (partial list)
Black ("False"): Blue dyed twice with Brambleberries. This is considered fake because, while the shirt looks fine, the pants tend to look more like extremely dark blue rather than black.
Black ("True"): Dark Grey dyed with Brambleberries, Orgaberries, and Lilaberries. Should only be used on pants since the False Black method can be used for shirts with no noticeable difference.
Forest Green shirt: To get a shirt that matches the Forest Green pants, start with Dark Grey and then dye with both Brambleberries and Lilaberries.
Reddish Brown: Dark Grey dyed with Brambleberries and Orgaberries.
Brown shirt: You can either start with Tan and dye with all three berries or start with a Dark Grey shirt bleach with Orgaberries and dye twice with Brambleberries.
Light Grey: Dark Blue bleached twice with Brambleberries.
Lavender: Dark Blue bleached with Brambleberries.
Midnight Blue: Dark Blue dyed with Brambleberries.
Light Green pants: Forest Green bleached with Brambleberries.
Plum shirt: Purple dyed with Brambleberries.
Maroon: Purple dyed twice with Brambleberries.
Minty Green: Turquoise dyed twice with Brambleberries.
Light Pink: Tan dyed with Orgaberries.
Dark Pink: Tan dyed twice with Orgaberries.

Skin Dyes

The Skin Dye hut is west of the Hair Dye hut in the south part of town, south of the Shoe Store and Tattoo Parlor. Here you can get temporary skin dyes which last approximately for a zodiac before they fade (going in the water and being exposed to light will hasten the fading process). Fortunately, the cost for renewing a skin dye is significantly cheaper than getting the skin dye for the first time and the price gradually decreases the more frequently you renew it. You can preview how the skin dyes will look by talking to the person who has the skin dye you want to try on. To purchase the skin dye, talk to the cashier by the door before leaving. There's also a person by the door who will explain to you how the dyes work. For 400c you can permanently change your skin to one of the basic types (pale, light, dark, deep brown). These skin dyes are found in a small room through a door in the east wall.
