For this year's April Fools, old events were brought back so that all people could have a chance to experience these strange worlds. As in previous April Fools, a portal drifted through town and when you walked into it you appeared at a junction where you could go to one of three worlds.

The first world was the Boardwalk that appared at the April Fools 2003. You can read the detailed description I wrote by following that link.

The second event was a Nethack world which put exiles into one of the very first online games. All of the creatures were represented as letters and you had to collect food by killing the creatures or else you would faint and then die. All exiles were given a new form as ampersands or @ and a title such as "Himitsu the Ranger" or "Himitsu the Paladdin" while they were in the Nethack world. If you got to the top of the building you faced a boss and a room full of very tough creatures. If you managed to kill the boss you would get an amulet that would enable you to escape the Nethack world.

Finally, the third event was the Spaceward Ho! world which put exiles into Delta Tao's own game of the same name. All exiles were turned into spaceships and put into space where you could explore new worlds. If you landed on a planet you had to find the portal which took you back out into space. If you found and explored all of the planets you got experience for your travels.

While some exiles didn't like how this year's April Fools wasn't anything new, many others liked experiencing an event they may have missed the first time and the ability to get more colored paints.
