Thanks to Greg, this feature request has been dealt with.

You can now specify a "subject prefix" for your site's outgoing email. You have to specify everything except the space that will go between the prefix and the regular subject.

Set the subject prefix in your site's "Email Interface" prefs.

An example: on this site, the subject prefix is now set to exactly:

[FC Support]

***Including the brackets.***

OK?

Whatever you set your prefix to will also be stripped out of all incoming mail for your site, so be careful not to set it to something common. For example, if we had set the prefix for this site to just "Support" (no brackets, no "FC"), then "Support" would be stripped out of all incoming messages. Not good.

It's easy to use, so I should just stop here or risk over-explaining (if I haven't already).
