It is now possible to post to your weblog *historically*.

There are two ways to do it:

1. Write your message in the discussion group, and submit it. In the admin
toolbox, where the button normaly appears for adding the message to a weblog,
there will also be a text box for specifying the date.

2. Put your weblog into edit mode by clicking on the "Edit" button. Each message
now has a "date" field. Changing the date moves the post. Very simple.

It is also possible to send messages to the future, but we think that the only
people who'd care to do that are weathermen in Sandiego, California ("The
weather was: sunny and warm") and Buffalo, NY in the winter ("it snowed a lot
today").

We've tested this feature, but not as thoroughly as some others. If you find
problems, please report them here.

A big "thank you" to Jim Roepcke for this feature.

p.s. This weekend I figured out how to do "Javascript Syndication" with weblogs,
for one of our users (http://www.free-conversant.com/mooloo/). I said I'd post
instructions here, but I haven't found the time yet. If anybody is interested,
I'll do it today... but if nobody's particularly interested, it's going to wait
a bit longer.

p.p.s. What's JavaScript syndication? It's using JavaScript to syndicate your
weblog, which allows the content of your weblog to show up on any other site.
