For anyone interested in language the Ethnologue site will be of interest - it is produced by SIL International, an interesting organization that collects information about and encourages the development of unwritten languages. Did you know, for example, that Spain has eleven languages, five of which are official, as well as two extinct languages? Next time you're on holiday and wander into a little village where you don't understand a single word, you'll know why!
