I have no need for another term. For the time being the basic definition from the ALA is fine for me. I consider it as an ‘container’ term that is dynamic over time. For me being information literate is first of all an attitude, than knowledge and subsequently skills are involved: • Attitude: a critical attitude in relation to: o What am I doing? o Why am I doing it? o With what am I doing it? • Knowledge on: o The organisation and quality of information sources and channels o Acquiring access to information • Skills: Being able to use the required technology and tools to have access to the wanted information
