I don't think I was arguing for control of content by a small group - nor was Wally, I think. As for the Web working because it is 'broken' and uncontrolled, I imagine that the semantic Web concept has arisen precisely because of those facts. I'm not saying that it won't work, merely that I have doubts, and haven't seen an economic argument to support the idea. Clearly the concept can work in limited domains and, probably, in intranets - which is where Cayzer is applying the idea - but, to organize the Web in all its unorganized glory? I suspect not. People like to do things the lazy way - think of how XML was going to replace HTML, and not even XHTML has a very wide followng :-) And with MSoft doing its best to undermine standards...
