I've been out of action for a little while, partly as the result of travels, partly because my wireless-router failed me. That took time to diagnose: was the ISP? was it the ADSL line? was it the PC? Surely with something like 'Plug and Play' the system could be taught to tell us when something won't 'Play'?

I finally got the ADSL modem to work - again, that took some time and it was only as a result of wondering if my USB hub needed to be powered, rather than running of the PC, that made me take the right action. Again, why can't diagnosis of peripherals and their connection be built into the system?

However, not too much appears to have been happening since the last time :-)
