Pipex Homecall was my Internet Provider until February of this year. I contacted them as I kept loosing the internet and they told me that they could not sort out the problem because I did not have their equipment, which I had sent back to them one day after receiving it. Firstly, the man was so rude to me, I then asked to be put through to the cancellation department. This man of course was so polite for words. He apologised and offered to upgrade me from 2mb to 8mb (which is impossible in this area) and also said that he would cancel all charges that we have paid in February, this I though was not too bad and it would be done. WRONG what he actually hde done, is not check that this was possible so cancelled our account with Pipex Homecall, thus enabling them to charge us a cancellation fee of £301.92 ontop of this they charged us for the charge for the month and International Option which we had never had in the beginning. In receiving this bill, I immediately contacted them and they told me that this would be put right next month as they only do their bills month. WRONG same amount again following seven days later with a cut off notice. I phoned them and spoke to a so called supervisor (who incidentally stated later she doesn't exist) stating if they send the correct bill of £48.70 I will pay this immediately. I have contacted these people now too numerous too mention and also have received 3 credit agencies asking for the whole amount costing me more money. I have today contacted them yet again stating if I don't receive a correct bill within the next seven days, I will be contacting Oftel and also my solicitor which I will do without any hesitation. Beware of Pipex they just don't know what their doing.
