Interesting article on the 'Register' concerning cultural change. "Anti-war slogan coined, repurposed and Googlewashed... in 42 days"

The argument seems to be that with the web the 'natural selection' of Dawkins' (the biologist) meme is speeded up by several orders. The potential effect being countered in some way I suppose by only a restricted audience being influenced (i.e.the blogging 'A' list). Nevertheless the article highlights the rapid changing of meaning that the web can effect.
