The Great Foggy Finale

We have finally defeated Kiril Drakesblood and her army of Darshak Pirates, after a nearly two day long battle. After taking hold of town center, we slowly worked on winning back the rest of town as well, then fought against Kiril Drakesblood as she made her last stand in East Puddleby. Afterwards there were still a few scattered remnants of the Darshak army remaining, but we had managed to defeat the main force.

After doing a little cleanup work in town, we made our way to the Dark Temple to save those who had been kidnapped by Necro at the start of the invasion. However, Necro was nowhere to be found, though we did run into his two pet Greater Deaths. In the end though, we were able to defeat the undine and rescue the fallen exiles.

We returned to town afterwards and celebrated in the Fairgrounds, before retiring to the comfort of the libraries to recover from the long fought battle. This was truly a great victory for Puddleby, and I am happy to contributed my meager abilities to this great battle. I still have some sketches and transcripts and things that I may post later on, but for now I must get some much needed sleep. Ev'lei!

The Tide Turns?

It is now midnight of the 12th Day of Spring, and the tide finally seems to be turning. Earlier we were able to set up an elaborate kudzu wall, and now we have taken back control of Town Center, and are working on taking back west and south Puddleby as well.

As for Kiril Drakesblood, she seems to be having some troubles of her own. It seems that Necro no longer wants to be Kiril's ally, because she failed to devliver the payment that he was promised. Now, Necro has pulled out all of his undine forces from Puddleby, leaving only Kiril's pirates. Here's an excerpt from a conversation I overheard:

Some Progress

6:30pm... We finally seem to be making progress! Town center has noticeably fewer Darshak than there were just a few hours ago. However, we still need to clear the rest of town, along with all of the surrounding areas. There is also the matter of Kiril Drakesblood, who is still running around town causing trouble to exiles. She was strong enough to slay me with a single blow from full health... though that probably isn't saying much.

4:45pm... Elenis Reyav is leading a series of charges, in which all of the exiles in the two libraries and main temple charge out at once to do battle against the Darshak. So far we haven't been too succsseful, but I think I am beginning to see some progress, in the town center at least. There also seems to be a group fighting out of the west Rat Towers, which is doing some damage to the Darshak forces. However, at the current rate of progress, it will be several days before the town is clear of pirates...

Failed Rescue Attempt

9:30am of the 11 Day of Spring... the Darshak invasion shows no sign of diminshing, and in fact it seems as if the number of Darshak in town may actually be increasing.

Earlier I tried to lead a rescue party to the North Beach, where there were still fallen exiles from the first wave of the invasion. We took the long road through the underground, and made our way out of Puddleby via the Hive. However, when we finally made it to the East Field, we found it was completely overrun with Darshak. Ditto for the North Field and the Farms.

In another development, Kiril Drakesblood was tried and found guily by the Puddleby court of "being an evil brat". She was fined 42 coins and sentenced to 5 days of Banishment from Puddleby. She was also thrown in the Puddleby jail, but managed to escape with the aid of her pirate cohorts.

It is now nearly 6:00 am on Fordi the 11th, and the invasion shows no sign of abating. The town is still completely overrun by Darshak, with small groups of exiles fighting out of buildings, trying to push back the Darshak forces. What's more, the Darshak Kiril Drakesblood has finally arrived, taunting fallen exiles in town center. Currently, she is threatening to take our beer, rob our bank, and destroy our altar.

Puddleby Overrun

It is now a little past midnight on the 11th Day of Spring, and the invasion is in full force. Puddleby has been almost completely overrun by Darshak and Necro is conducting some sort of Dark Ceremony in the Dark Temple. Now nearly 170 exiles are fighting from inside the Temple and other buildings to get the town back.

Fortunately, the underground passages below Puddleby have yet to be infiltrated by the Darshak. Thanks to the blunder of the miners, the tunnels now connect the temple, the library, and other buildings. Those just coming out of the library should use these tunnels to move around town... the surface is no longer safe for exiles.

Invasion Begins

It seems that the undine activity on Ash Island may have been a trap to lure exiles off of Puddleby. There are now about two dozen exiles who have fallen on Ash Island, and have been dragged away into the Dark Temple by Necro. Now, however, there are 15 Warships on the ocean and an army of Darshak on west beach. The invasion has begun.

Dark Magic

Shortly after 5pm, the mystics in the lands(including myself) sensed Dark Magic in the air. A small party of exiles headed to the Ash Island to investigate, and found hordes of undine surrounding the Dark Temple, including Banshees, Faithless, and Greater Deaths. The necromancer Necro has also been seen in the lands. We are now on Ash Island, attempting to cut through the hordes of undine, and find out what the Darshak are up to.

No Signs of Kiril

It is now almost 5:00pm on Merdi the 10th, and there is still no sign of Kiril Drakesblood, or any invasion. I took a short nap at the docks, but when I awoke, there were still no signs of any Darshak. There are now more than a 100 exiles in the lands, waiting for the invasion that many fear is coming. In preparation, the western gate has been forted up with kudzu, as have portions of the Puddleby underground near the temple.

It is now around 1:30am, and we were just attacked by a group of about two dozen Darshak Spies. The small group of us who were waiting at the Docks were overwhelmed, but the spies stood little chance against our rescuers. The spies made a number of threats before being quickly dispatched.

It is now a few minutes past midnight, and there is now a small crowd of exiles gathered at the Docks. Still no signs of anything out of the ordinary. Sagramor reports that Ash Island is almost completely devoid of any Darshak.

It's only a few more minutes before the 10th Day of Spring, and I'm waiting at the Docks, looking out for anything unusual. There's no sign of Darshak yet, though there are a few waterbursts in the ocean from an earlier invasion.
