CNN: Americans May Need Passport To Have Picnic in a Park August 16, 2007=20
(CNN) -- Americans may need passports to board domestic flights or to picnic in a national park next year if they live in one of the states defying the federal Real ID Act.
The act, signed in 2005 as part of an emergency military spending and tsunami relief bill, aims to weave driver's licenses and state ID cards into a sort of national identification system by May 2008. More than half the nation's state legislatures have passed symbolic legislation denouncing the plan, and some have penned bills expressly forbidding compliance. The cards would be mandatory for all "federal purposes," which include boarding an airplane or walking into a federal building, nuclear facility or national park, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff told the National Conference of State Legislatures last week. Citizens in states that don't comply with the new rules will have to use passports for federal purposes. clip..
A travesty of justice: Jose Padilla found guilty By Joe Kay 17 August 2007
A Miami, Florida jury found US prisoner Jose Padilla guilty Thursday on three terrorism-related counts. Padilla, a 36-year-old American citizen from Chicago, faces a possible life sentence. The verdict is a travesty of justice and a testament to the growth of police state measures and the advanced state of decay of democratic rights in the United States. Padilla was convicted along with two co-defendants—Adham Amin Hassoun and Kifah Wael Jayyousi—on two counts of material support for terrorism and one count of conspiracy to murder, kidnap and maim people overseas.
If the administration had had its way, Padilla would never have been presented before a court of law at all. Padilla was arrested in May 2002 in Chicago’s O’Hare International airport. The government first held Padilla as a “material witness” to the September 11 attacks, but in June of that year, then-Attorney General John Ashcroft held a press conference to announce that Padilla had plotted to explode a radioactive “dirty bomb” somewhere in the United States. He was declared an “enemy combatant” and shifted to a military brig in South Carolina, where he was held in an isolation cell without being charged and without access to a lawyer for three-and-a-half years.
It quickly became clear that the allegations against Padilla were not only sensationalized, but of highly dubious substance. Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz acknowledged at the time that there was “not an actual plan” to carry out a dirty bomb attack.
The portrayal of Padilla as a major terrorist threat who was, in the words of Ashcroft, prepared to inflict “mass death and injury,=9D enabled the administration to divert attention from the many unanswered questions about its failure to avert the attacks, while promoting the Padilla case as a victory in the “war on terror.” More fundamentally, the Bush administration wanted to use Padilla to assert its claim that the president could order the indefinite military detention of a US citizen, detained on US soil. On the grounds that he was an “enemy combatant,” Padilla was denied communication with the outside world, stripped of his habeas corpus rights, and subjected to systematic physical and psychological torture. He was deprived of sleep, subjected at various times to intense light or complete darkness, tortured with extreme noise, and often shackled in contorted positions. He was given psychoactive drugs and =E2truth serums,” including LSD and PCP. This treatment is in flagrant violation of the US Constitution and both American and international law, not to mention the most basic standards of human decency. Dr Angela Hegarty whom interviewed Padilla for the defense to determine his mental health said that what happened to Padilla was “essentially the destruction of a human being’s mind.”
In November 2005, fearing an unfavorable decision by the Supreme Court on its indefinite military incarceration of Padilla and its denial of all due process rights, the government abruptly shifted its position. Padilla was transferred to a civilian prison in Florida and charged with other crimes=E2crimes that had absolutely nothing to do with the allegation of =E2dirty bomb” plots and subsequent claims that Padilla was plotting to blow up apartment buildings and hotels in American cities. As a result of this shift, the Supreme Court decided not to hear the case challenging Padilla’s detention, which had the effect of upholding an appellate court decision siding with the government.
The new charges alleged that Padilla, along with his two co-defendants, conspired to commit murder overseas and provide material support for terrorism. In particular, Padilla was said to have participated in an Al Qaeda training camp in Afghanistan in 1998, where he learned how to kill and commit terrorist acts. The main pieces of evidence provided by the government consisted of hundreds of hours of taped phone conversations, obtained through wiretaps, over a period of several years, and a document that was supposedly an application form signed by Padilla to participate in the Al Qaeda camp.
The actual physical evidence presented by the prosecution was extremely weak. Of the over 300,000 intercepted phone conversations that the government collected, only seven involved Padilla. None of these included any of the “code words” that the prosecution claimed referred to plans to carry out terrorist attacks.
The application presented by the government as evidence that Padilla traveled to Afghanistan is highly dubious. Padilla’s fingerprints were only on the outside pages, suggesting that he handled the document (perhaps in custody), but did not fill it out himself. Besides this form, the government provided no direct evidence that Padilla was ever in Afghanistan.
In the trial, Judge Cooke allowed the prosecution to show a videotape of a 1997 interview with bin Laden, even though it had no direct relevance to the case.
The Kafkaesque treatment that Padilla has suffered is a warning to all Americans. Such are the conditions that can be meted out to anyone—whether a US citizen or not.
Congressmen Quotes re: '911' From:
Senator Max Cleland - “ Former member of the 9/11 Commission, that resigned in December 2003: "It is a national scandal...this White House wants to cover [9/11] up."
Senator Mark Dayton - "[NORAD] lied to the American people, they lied to Congress and they lied to your 9/11 Commission...
Congressman Ron Paul - "the [9/11] investigations that have been done so far as more or less cover-up and no real explanation".
Congressman Curt Weldon - Member of the 9/11 Commission - there's something very sinister going on here... something desperately wrong.. the covering up of information that led to the deaths of 3,000 people".

Evidence Suggests Ron Paul Was Cheated receiving fifth place in the Iowa Straw Poll
Steve Watson August 14, 2007 (excerpt)
...When the electronic voting machines inevitably malfunctioned, many immediately became wary. Some reports 4500 ballots had to be re-run and the announcement of the poll results was delayed by over an hour.
With only 26,000 tickets being sold, and only 14,302 actual votes cast in the Iowa Straw Poll. one has to ask the question why did 12,000 people buy tickets at $35 each and not vote? In 1999 the Straw Poll, which was won by George W Bush, attracted 23,685 voters, an incredibly similar figure to the 26,000 tickets sold this year.
The voting procedure was overseen the Story County Auditor's Office, the head of
whom happens to also be a member of Mitt Romney's "Leadership Team". Before the vote, Romney was "joking" out loud that his team were going to "stuff the ballot box".

Al Gore against any attempt to impeach Bush May 31, 2007 (excerpt)
WASHINGTON: Former US vice president Al Gore, a staunch critic of George W Bush, has said he doesn't agree with calls for impeaching the president : "With a year and a half to go in his term and with no consensus in the nation as a whole to support such a proposition, any realistic analysis of that as a policy option would lead one to question the allocation of time and resources," Gore said during an interview with PBS. Pressed on whether he believed that impeachment is a good use of time, Gore replied, "I don't think it is. I don't think it would be successful." clip..
Was CIA Running Terrorist Flight School?
October 19 ((2001) --Your ‘legend’ is your cover story, in intelligence parlance; the lie that holds together long enough to let you skip the country...
The legends of Rudi Dekkers as ‘flight school owner’ and Mohamed Atta as ‘fanatic 'Islamic fundamentalist’ have been fraying at the edges since the collapse of the World Trade Center.
Both of the pilots who guided planes into the twin towers of the World Trade Center had trained at Rudi Dekkers’ Huffman Aviation. Dekkers, a Dutch national, had only recently purchased the flight school located at the small out of the way Venice Florida Airport. The terrorist were soon joined by a third student terrorist pilot, the one on UAL Flight 93. He signed up at the Florida Flight Training Center almost next door to Dekkers=80 Huffman Aviation. Just like Dekkers’ Huffman Aviation, this second flight school had also just changed owners. And the new owner of this flight school too turns out to be a Dutch national. His name is Arne Kruithof, from Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
"Two Dutch boys buying adjacent flight schools 'overrun’ by terrorists is one damn Dutch boy too many," stated our law enforcement source.=20
A flight instructor at Jones Aviation Flying Service Inc. which operates from the Venice-adjacent Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, told the Associated Press that Atta and Al-Shehhi arrived in "September or October" and asked to be given flight training. Jones Instructor Ivan Chirivella said the two came to Jones Aviation from Huffman Aviation in Venice. Chirivella said he spent four hours almost every morning from September to October last year instructing Mohamed Atta, 33, and Marwan Yousef Alshehhi, 23.
But Rudi Dekkers at Huffman Aviation, who has been getting all the national face-time, had been telling a different tale. They signed up at Huffman in late July, he stated in innumerable interviews, and stayed until December or January. The two cadre principals paid $20,000 apiece at the rate of $1000 a week.
Dekkers told his new buddy Larry King, and anyone else with a microphone who would listen, that when Atta & co. showed up at his school they were already grumbling about a bad experience at another school. This directly contradicts the story the two Jones instructors gave reporters.
Why can't the flight instructors at the two schools get their stories straight? Did Atta and his sidekick attend both flight schools at once?
Terrorist hijacker flight instructor Mark Mickart at Dekkers, used to be somebody else. His given name is Mark Wierdak. Pilot Mikarts also flies out of the Sarasota-Bradenton Airport for a Christian missionary group called Agape Flights, which describe themselves as an independent ministry fighting disease, poverty and illiteracy by serving missionaries in the Western hemisphere and beyond. They have been running a weekly flight down and back to the Dominican Republic for over twenty years.
How many guys using aliases fly American missionary flights servicing the Caribbean Basin? Mikarts is a perfect example of why things seem a little out of skew, at the the flight schools at the Venice Florida Airport.
Lack of proper aviation background was also a comment heard about Dekkers in an interview this week with Richard Boehlke, a partner of Dekkers in a recent airline venture called Florida Air. Boehlke accuses Dekkers of not having enough experience to run a commuter airline and training facilities.
Portland Native's Brush with Terror - "He (Dekkers) was an oxymoron the day I met him," Boehlke told Portland reporter Eric Mason. "I can’t believe anyone handed him millions of dollars to run a business he had no experience in."
For the 53-year-old Boehlke, the sun-drenched parties aboard his personal Grumman Albatross with friends in the San Juan Islands are supposed to be over. His huge flying boat sits for sale at the Tacoma Narrows Airport in Gig Harbor, along with other assets from his troubled aviation company. He is not however running noticeably short of cash, observers note.
Boehlke was hot news because of his proximity to terrorist flight school owner Dekkers and his concurrent participation in what the Securities & Exchange Commission has called "the biggest fraud by an investment manager in U.S. history."
"Ex-money manager charged with fraud" was the headline in an October 6th AP story. A federal grand jury indicted Jeffrey Grayson whose firm 'collapsed' losing hundreds of millions of pension investments. Grayson was charged with mail fraud, conspiracy, money laundering, witness tampering and paying a former union chief union trust funds in a scheme that cost Grayson's clients over $355 million in failed and fraudulent investments.
"I’ve known Jeff Grayson (Capital Consultants’ former CEO) for 12 years," Boehlke said. "I have never known him to have any shady or, you know, some have asked me about... Mafia affiliations."
"Boehlke would do anything for money, he was so desperate," an aviation executive who had witnessed Boehlke's descent told us. "I’m surprised he hasn’t skipped the country by now, what with all the trouble he’s gotten himself into farting around with those Mafia boys down in Portland."
Another grateful beneficiary of the money they were giving away in Portland, Or. from the retirement pension funds of the little people--laborer's and secretary's--was a Miami Florida man whose complex web of international connections is legendary.
Alvin Malnik has been called "Meyer Lansky’s heir" as the head of organized crime so often in print that he should put it on his business cards. But it is not Malnick’s gangster ties that make your jaw drop: its his connection with the Saudi Royal Family.
Jewish 'gangster' Alvin Malnick’s son is married to the daughter of a leading Prince of the Middle Eastern kingdom's founding family.
"The Saudi Prince not only blessed the marriage, but regularly works with the US organized crime associates," states one report on the connection. "The Saudi King would frequently send his private 747 to Florida to pick up Malnik and his associates, so they could conduct business on the plane away from prying eyes."
A Saudi King, A Mob Boss, and a Terrorist Drug Kingpin
"Frankly, we can't differentiate between terrorism and organized crime and drug dealing," Assistant Attorney General Michael Chertoff told the Senate Banking Committee hearings about the terrorists’ money trail in the aftermath of the Sept 11 disaster.
Terrorist groups have been implicated in the $360 billion a year international narcotics trade, directed by organized crime, says judge Thierry Cretin of the European Anti-Fraud Office. clip..
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: "Christian fundamentalists" & the CIA May 30 2007
by Daniel Hopsicker
Run by an ordained Southern Baptist minister, Agape Flights is a fundamentalist Christian operation which has been involved in some highly un-Christian activities, like flying shipments of food and “religious supplies” on a regular basis to a man accused of plotting a coup in Haiti after being caught importing an M-16, a Beretta, and a camouflage uniform emblazoned with the words "God's Army." Coming on the heels of revelations of a million dollar unpaid loan to recently-deceased televangelist Jerry Falwell from Wally Hilliard, owner of terror flight school Huffman Aviation, the news marks the second time fundamentalist Christian groups have surfaced recently in unexplained operations at the Venice Airport.
Agape is linked to the controversial 'Summer Institute of Linguistics', accused in the Latin American press of being funded by American intelligence to export a virulent brand of Christian fundamentalism to undermine the social cohesion of aboriginal communities and eliminate obstacles to natural resource exploitation.
(Suspected involvement in the aforementioned CIA-backed coup in Haiti, explored more fully in our next story.)
Sharing Christian faith in Afghanistan
At the time of his suspicious crash while flying in tropical storm, Huisman was flying for a company called Dynamic Aviation, while still flying for Agape. If we are correct in our hypothesis, both companies, (Agape and Dynamic Corp), work for THE Company, making them virtually interchangeable.=20
“Huisman, 41, grew up in Papua New Guinea, the son of missionary Wycliffe Bible Translators. He trained to become a missionary pilot at Moody Bible Institute… He had moved to Florida five years ago to work for Agape Flights in Sarasota, where his work brought him to Haiti and the Dominican Republic.” “Part of what attracted Huisman to Dynamic was the opportunity to fly to Afghanistan for the company,” the Tampa Tribune reported. Huisman's trips to Afghanistan would be something of a red flag, CIA-wise. As for “Wycliffe Bible Translators=9D, it is the polite name for a notorious organization known as the Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL) which has been accused in numerous articles in the Latin American press of being funded by American intelligence.
Another intriguing tidbit about Dynamic Aviation is that in 1996, the company purchased the U.S. Army's fleet of 124 non-pressurized BE-90s, enabling the company to significantly broaden its scope of operations, to include fire management and airborne data acquisition. The Pentagon had out-sourced its airline of small planes to Dynamic Aviation.
According to aviation observers quoted in local newspapers, for example, Agape got a real sweetheart deal at the Venice Airport, paying significantly less than the fair market rate. Agape received special permission from the U.S. Treasury Department to fly regular flights to Fidel Castro=80s Cuba in 1999,
Covert ops 101
Already losing $40,000 a month at their Naples FL flight school, Huffman Aviation principals Rudi Dekkers and Wally Hilliard had blithely decided to buy a second flight school in Venice, paying twice what it was worth... In cash. Their actions made no business sense.
Coy Jacob, owner of a Mooney airplane distributorship at the Venice Airport, shared a hangar with Agape when they first moved to the Venice Airport. “I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Its obviously a very well-funded operation, but the stuff they’re flying down to Haiti is junk,” he told us bluntly. “With the price of aviation gasoline today, it costs them between $6000 and $8000 just to fly down and back to Haiti. And for what? A couple hundred bucks worth of toasters?=80 “What was really strange—especially since its supposed to be a Christian missionary organization—was how secretive they were,” Coy Jacob stated. “For example, they insisted on always keeping the hanger doors down. Just imagine how hot that gets in Florida.”
Like another company in Lynchburg VA
Britannia Aviation, a CIA front which used to be housed inside the Huffman Aviation hanger at the Venice Airport which inexplicably won a large government contract which raised eyebrows at the Lynchburg Airport.
“No one knows anything about this group,” Virginia Aviation’s Lampman told us. “They took over a sizeable maintenance facility and all they’re doing is working on a few old, broken-down Jetstreams." "But they keep their hangar doors down and closed. They stay strictly to themselves and keep their shades pulled down. Their activity consists of one plane coming in and one plane going out every few weeks.=E2
Agape is Greek for spiritual, selfless love. The Big Question: =9CIslamic fundamentalist” Osama bin laden reportedly cloaked covert activities under the cover of religious charities. Where do you think he learned to do that?
Cofer Black, vice chairman of army-for-hire contractor, Blackwater USA, is Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney's national security advisor.=20
