LONDON — Western defense sources and analysts told a meeting of the Council on Foreign Relations that Britain and the United States are preparing for the prospect of air strikes against Iran's nuclear facilities in late 2006 if diplomatic efforts at the United Nations Security Council are not succesful.
"I've been convinced that at least some in the administration have already made up their minds that they would like to launch a military strike against Iran," Joseph Cirincione, director of the Washington-based Non-Proliferation Project at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, said. At an April 5 seminar by the Council on Foreign Relations, Cirincione said he based his assessment on conversations with those with "close connections with the White House and the Pentagon. "There is already active discussion and even planning of such strikes," Cirincione said. "It is now my working hypothesis that at least some members of the administration, including the vice president of the United States, have made up their mind that the preferred option is to strike Iran and that a military strike will destabilize the regime and contribute to their longtime goal of overthrowing the government of Iran."
Sam Gardiner, a retired Air Force colonel and instructor at the National Defense University, held a recent simulation of a U.S. attack on Iran. Gardiner, envisioning a five-day military operation, identified 24 nuclear-related facilities — some of them 15 meters underground — as part of 400 Iranian sites required for U.S. targeting. The targets f would include two Iranian chemical production plants, medium-range ballistic missile launchers and 14 airfields with sheltered aircraft. He said the United States could use its B-2 fleet to destroy these targets. "The Bush administration is very close to being left with only the military option," Gardiner said.
"Clearly at some level, the British don't feel that the military option will come into play until, at the very earliest, the late
summer," Hugh Barnes, director of the Iran program of the London- based Foreign Policy Center, said. British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw agreed.
Britain and the United States have agreed to seek support from China and Russia on UN sanctions on Iran. They said the two countries hope to draft a unified Security Council resolution on sanctions before the G-8 summit in July. Should that fail, the sources said, Britain and the United States would prepare for an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. They said
the plans would allow London and Washington to prepare for the prospect of a Shi'ite backlash in Iraq.
Richard Haas, a former White House national security adviser and president of the Council on Foreign Relations, said the United States has drafted a military option against Iran. Haas said the option called for a limited military strike that would destroy Iran's nuclear facilities without seeking to overthrow the regime in Teheran. At the Council on Foreign Relations discussion, Reuel Gerecht, a former CIA operative in the Middle East and now with the American Enterprise Institute, said the Bush administration would wait three months to determine whether the Security Council was prepared to sanction Teheran. In July 2006, Gerecht said, the military option would undergo open debate in Washington. clip..

In order to foward a war in Iraq, the Bush Administration used forged uranium documents, to make it appear Saddam had a nuclear program; a faked 'Iraqi General', to make it appear he had ties to al Qeada; called fertilizer vehicles 'bio-weapons labs', to imply that he had biological weapons, all which were not true.
Currently he is threatening to attack Iran, possibly with tactical nuclear weapons, to stop a supposed nuclear threat that experts claim would require 8-10 years to develop.
Additionally, a year ago President Bush stated that he wanted 'any one that had leaked classified information to be held accountable', and yet recent Libby trial transcripts indicate President Bush himself authorized these leaks.
America can not afford to become involved in another war based on forgeries, deceptions, and lies by our leaders. It is time for Congress to retract the previously given authority to openly wage war, until such time that it is clear that a real imminent threat exists, with real weapons, not made-up ones.
I also would agree with Mr. Bush, that leakers need to be held accountable, as well as public officials that knowingly used false information to carry out unnecessary wars. Accountability applies to all, even the man at the top.

Okay, so let's get this straight. Bush admits he selectively leaked classified information, that wasn't declassified until days after he and Cheney had Scooter Libby leak it to Judith Miller. Bush also "authorizes" this leak at a time that he is claiming that if he ever finds the leaker, he will basically fire him, (thus meaning himself.) Then he continues a public and Department of Justice vendetta against leakers, but not against himself. (Jailing Judith Miller)
Libby is sent out with the leak, in order to debunk Joe Wilson's accounting of the truth about the non-existent Iraq-Nigher uranium deal. Libby actually makes language up that doesn't exist in the document to further the lie that Wilson exposed. Thus, Libby selectively used classified information to try to smear the truth, with more lies.
Then, when Bush is exposed through Libby's revealing to Patrick Fitzgerald that Bush gave the green light to leak a lie, to cover up a lie, and in truth, to prevent more lies from being exposed. Bush admits to leaking, but tells the American people that it was to get the "truth out." Are you following this? (And we haven't even gotten into the actual Valerie Plame outing to Novak yet. We are still in the sideshow.) If this sounds like some farce, remember that thousands upon thousands of Americans and Iraqis have died in this farce -- and the nation is nearly bankrupt.
Meanwhile, others were being pursued by the federal prosecutor for leaking, when it all started with Bush.
The mainstream press keeps saying that Bush didn't technically break the law. We have a prima facie case of obstruction of justice. We also have the RICO Act (Racketeering Act) as a distinct possiblity. Not to mention that he didn't actually declassify the information he authorized leaking until days later. Hagel: Military Strike on Iran is ˘Not a Viable, Feasible, Responsible Option˙ (excerpt)

Sen. Chuck Hagel (R-NE) has joined the long list of officials and experts who believe that no good military options exist in Iran.
'I think to further comment on it would be complete speculation, but I would say that a military strike against Iran, a military option, is not a viable, feasible, responsible option,ˇ he added.
'I believe a political settlement will be the answer. Not a military settlement. All these issues will require a political settlement,' Hagel said.
Stating that no good military options exist doesn't mean the U.S. should take the military option off the table. What it means is that the U.S. needs to get off the sidelines and engage Iran directly, as Hagel has urged in the past:

Extremely hot fires caused structures to fail, BYU expert says By Suzanne Dean April 10, 2006
A Brigham Young University physicist said he now believes an incendiary substance called thermite, bolstered by sulfur, was used to generate exceptionally hot fires at the World Trade Center on 9/11, causing the structural steel to fail and the buildings to collapse.
"It looks like thermite with sulfur added, which really is a very clever idea," Steven Jones, professor of physics at BYU, told a meeting of the Utah Academy of Science, Arts and Letters at Snow College Friday.
The government requires standard explosives to contain tag elements enabling them to be traced back to their manufacturers. But no tags are required in aluminum and iron oxide, the materials used to make thermite, he said. Nor, he said, are tags required in sulfur.
Jones is co-chairman, with James H. Fetzer, a distinguished professor of philosophy at the University of Minnesota of Scholars for 9/11 Truth, a group of college faculty members who believe conspirators other than pilots of the planes were directly involved in bringing down New York's Trade Towers.
The group, which Jones said has 200 members, maintains a Web site at www.st911.org. A 40-page paper by Jones, along with other peer-reviewed and non-reviewed academic papers, are posted on the site.
He ticked off several pieces of evidence for his thermite fire theory:
First, he said, video showed a yellow, molten substance splashing off the side of the south Trade Tower about 50 minutes after an airplane hit it and a few minutes before it collapsed. Government investigators ruled out the possibility of melting steel being the source of the material because of the unlikelihood of steel melting. The investigators said the molten material must have been aluminum from the plane.
But, said Jones, molten aluminum is silvery. It never turns yellow. The substance observed in the videos "just isn't aluminum," he said. But, he said, thermite can cause steel to melt and become yellowish. Second, he cited video pictures showing white ash rising from the south tower near the dripping, liquefied metal. When thermite burns, Jones said, it releases aluminum-oxide ash. The presence of both yellow-white molten iron and aluminum oxide ash "are signature characteristics of a thermite reaction," he said.
Another item of evidence, Jones said, is the fact that sulfur traces were found in structural steel recovered from the Trade Towers. Jones quoted the New York Times as saying sulfidization in the recovered steel was "perhaps the deepest mystery uncovered in the (official) investigation." But, he said, sulfidization fits the theory that sulfur was combined with thermite to make the thermite burn even hotter than it ordinarily would.
Jones said a piece of building wreckage had a gray substance on the outside that at one point had obviously been a dripping molten metal or liquid. He said that after thermite turns steel or iron into a molten form, and the metal hardens, it is gray.
He added that pools of molten metal were found beneath both trade towers and the 47-story WTC 7. That fact, he said, was never discussed in official investigation reports.
And even though WTC 7 was not connected to the Trade Towers, in fact, there was another building between it and the towers and even though it was never hit by a plane, it collapsed. That suggests, he said, that it came down because a thermite fire caused its structural steel to fail.

WASHINGTON -- New Hampshire Democrats are seeking to depose senior White House officials to learn what they knew about a 2002 episode in which a national Republican operative helped organize the jamming of Democrats' phone lines on Election Day, a scheme for which two GOP officials have already been convicted.
This week a Manchester judge considers a request to compel testimony and records from the White House and the Republican National Committee in a civil suit brought by the Democrats.
Howard Dean, the chairman of the Democratic National Committee, sent a letter on Tuesday to his RNC counterpart, Ken Mehlman, citing the fact that the man convicted of organizing the phone-jamming called the White House political office repeatedly in the days before the election. Mehlman, who in 2002 headed the White House political office, responded by saying he and his staff knew nothing of the plans. But Democrats accused Mehlman of refusing to reveal the extent of the contact between the White House or RNC and the New Hampshire operatives. Damien LaVera, a DNC spokesman said: ''We need to know where this goes -- who was involved in this, who authorized it."=20

Atta's closest associates were Dutch, German, Austrian, and to a lesser extent French. Atta (pilot flight 11), Marwan Al-Shehhi (pilot flight 175), and Siad Jarrah (pilot flight 93) were all located at the small Venice Airport in Miami, stationed with two Dutch flight school instructors, Rudi Dekkers and Arne Kruithof. Zacarias Moussaoui, the supposed 20th hijacker, was also stationed at Venice Airport while Ramzi bin al-Shibh, a candidate for 20th hijacker, was on his way. Hijackers Ahmed Alghamdi and Majed Moqed have also lived in the Venice area and hung out with the Mohammed Atta crowd.
From researcher is Daniel Hopsicker, and his book: "Welcome to Terrorland : Mohamed Atta & the 9-11 Coverup": Rudi Dekkers didn't own his flight school. A retired businessman, Wally Hilliard, did. He had hired Dekkers and was financially backing him all the time. Hilliard was a very obscure businessman who owned a fleet of several dozen Learjets that were flying unsupervised all over the world. At least some of these planes were used for the smuggle of heroin and gold is a likely other candidate.
Atta's former girlfriend told how all of Mohammed's buddies already had pilot's licenses from overseas and how most of them were using cocaine. When they ran out they just went over to Kruithof's flight school and got some new stuff. In addition, Atta, Dekkers, and Hilliard could get away with ignoring basic FAA rules and even a large heroine bust didn't affect Hilliard. At one point, someone who inquired about Dekkers was warned: "He's bigger than national. He's transnational... stay away from him."
Descriptions of Hilliard by people close to him go like: "Nobody knows for sure who Wally works for" and "Wally was manipulated by somebody with a lot of power... he was blackmailed." Luckily, Hopsicker has found at least some of his closest associates. He has documented how Hilliard is connected to several very interesting persons. The ones that stuck in my mind are Bill Clinton, Yeslam Bin Laden, Jerry Falwell, and a person named Mark Shubin. Bill Clinton used to call up Hilliard at his home once in while. Yeslam Bin Laden, a half brother of Osama who runs the family company from Switzerland, is known to have sent some of his people from a company he owned, Avcon Air Charter, to Dekkers' Huffman Aviation, supposedly for 'pilot training.'
Hilliard made a one million dollar loan to Falwell, which he seemingly doesn't have to pay back. It's important to note that Falwell is a very close friend of cult leader Sun Myung Moon, who thinks he's here to finish the work of Jesus. He's bad and is part of an worldwide crime syndicate, run by intelligence. Arnaud de Borchgrave and Alexander Haig are other close friends of his. Let's keep it at that.
Mark Shubin, one of Hilliard's closest business partners, was the son of a KGB colonel who was caught spying for the US. According to Shubin himself, his family was traded out together with Gary Powers in 1960, the U2 pilot who was shot down above the USSR. Shubin then went to work for the CIA, flying U2 spy planes. At some point he also flew for the Israeli Air Force and there are claims that he works for the Russian mafia and has flown around president Putin of Russia at some point. In addition, one of Wally's accountants for Huffman Aviation became married to the daughter of an influential KGB family. And last but not least, associates of Hilliard have told Hopsicker how this person illegally flew in and out of Cuba to hand out bags of gold presidential Rolex watches to bribe people within Castro's inner circle.
The Bushes with their 3 generations of ties to the international elite, have also been implicated in the 9/11 event. The local police chief in Venice told Hopsicker how within 24 hours all his files on Rudi Dekkers were loaded in 2 Ryder trucks and brought onto a C-130 cargo plane. A really interesting detail: Jeb Bush himself was on board, according to the police chief. And, of course, Marvin Bush's company, Securacom, arranged the security at the World Trade Center complex, United Airlines, and Dulles Airport. A further, but more indirect link is Neil Bush, who, like other members of the Bush family, was in questionable business with Kenneth Good. Good was a business partner of the earlier mentioned Shubrin. More research is needed, but it's obvious the Bushes have a thing or two to hide.
One of Dekkers' associates, Hopsicker found out, was Dietrich Reinhardt, formerly a close associate of Barry Seal and a person heavily involved in Iran-Contra. Hilliard is in business with Adnan Khashoggi and Saudi intelligence (through a raw material and energy company called Oryx and some Bahama business).
Wally Hilliard and his business associates are part of what some have called the Fascist international. EIR refers to it as the Synarchy International. How this group precisely operates, nobody seems to know at this point. In the past decades, many researchers have talked about the smuggle of heroin, gold, diamonds, weapons, and the obsession of the oligarchical families of the west to remain control over the raw materials in the world. This permanent network consists of the international banking systems, the largest multinationals and law firms, the military-industrial complex, the royal and noble families of Europe, the eastern establishment, and the international intelligence agencies.
In my opinion, if we want to understand who was behind 9/11, we need to know a lot more about organizations like Le Cercle. In this case, we are talking about a group set up by Otto von Habsburg, which brings together an obscure international group of intelligence operatives and globalist insiders. Rockefeller, Kissinger, and Zbigniew Brzezinski have all been there, the latest head of the dynastic Cecil family has been there, just as all the heads of Europe's intelligence agencies. For the past few decades the group has been headed by Zionist Privy Councilors who work to maintain the British empire. Today, the group is headed by a long time Rothschild employee.=20
Even though most members of the group are still unknown, it has already been established that these people have been involved in every major conspiracy since WWII: Paperclip, the birth of the "permanent war economy" or the military-industrial complex, the birth of psychological warfare, the JFK assassination, Mockingbird, Operation Mongoose, Operation Northwoods, Operation Ajax and other coups, Iran Contra, Iraq Gate, Operation Lock, the Stay Behind networks (Gladio), the BCCI scandal, and almost certainly the 2001 Anthrax scare. And members like Prince Turki Al-Faisal or Henry Kissinger undoubtedly can tell a whole lot about what actually happened on 9/11.
