Welcome to Soft Edges!
Applied Bible Site

Update: 01 September 2003 -- I have had to slow down on generating new articles for posting here. Responsibilities in the real world have piled up, and cannot longer be delayed. Still, I plan to post something at least once each week. Click on the "Message Center" link on the right side of the page. There you will find a calendar that tracks the pages added or edited each day of the current month. The latest items posted are usually listed, but you can always click on the calendar for any previous day to see what was posted that day. An index of previous articles can be found listed by title by clicking on the "Article Archives" link in the Navigation area on the right side of the page.

What is this? A website devoted to Christian teaching, with a special emphasis on application. You'll find theology, Bible History, some occasional apologetics, but mostly an examination of life today in light of Scripture.

The viewpoint is, in general, orthodox Protestant. Beyond that, it may be hard to pin things down as coming from any particular bias. That's the reason for the site name: Soft Edges. We find our positions are often hard to define, not easily "pidgeon-holed." Sometimes we don't believe there are any hard answers, and we are content to leave issues in an unresolved and fuzzy state. If you are looking for a statement of faith, try this page.

Your Hosts: Primary site administrator is Ed Hurst. My collaborators are Charles Green and Danny Thompson. You can learn something about us by clicking on the "Meet the Crew!" link on the right-hand side of this page.

This site is provided free by the fine folks at Free-Conversant. You are free to register with this site, which will enable you to comment on the articles posted here. Be aware that this is not a debate forum, but a question and answer ministry. In keeping with that concept, inappropriate comments will be deleted. Also feel free to address comments and questions to Ed.
